Transitions Optical will host its first virtual global summit on 9 February to share updates on light science news and lens innovations, as well as solutions from the brand.
The event will include a session with the president of Transitions Optical & Essilor Europe, Chrystel Barranger, in addition to sessions with optical speakers discussing subjects from best practice to worldwide consumer trends.
A session will also be delivered by Doug Stephens, the founder of the Retail Prophet, who will discuss the latest retail strategies and future scenarios.
Tim Precious, managing director at Essilor Ltd, said: “The summit is the perfect opportunity for the optical industry to come together and be the first to hear about what’s new in terms of light intelligent lenses."
Mr Precious suggested that keeping up-to-date on consumer insights could help build business opportunities in the months ahead, “Especially as we enter spring/summer when patients are much more open to hearing about ways to enjoy light more comfortably without having to switch spectacles.”
The event, which will be held from 5:30 – 7pm (GMT) on 9 February and will be subtitled in 12 languages. Attendees can also connect live for training and networking.
