Eyewear designer, manufacturer and distributor, Inspecs, has named Steve Tulba as managing director of its Inspecs division.
In a statement, the company said: “In his 11 years working with the company, Steve brings with him a deep understanding of the business and experience within the sector.”
Mr Tulba originally joined the Bath-based company in 2003 as international business development manager.
After a period as president of Inspecs USA, managing key customer accounts and business strategy in the US, Mr Tulba then spent four years as managing director of Mondottica.
In March 2020, Mr Tulba returned to Inspecs in the role of chief commercial officer. In this position he has helped to oversee the licencing business as well as sales nationally and internationally.
Commenting on his new role, Steve Tulba told OT: “I am delighted to be taking on the role of managing director of the Inspecs division globally, with an oversight of Inspecs USA.
“The company has grown considerably in the last year, having achieved multiple milestones for the business, and I am proud to be continuing my journey with such a talented and expanding team.”
Over the past year, Inspecs has made several steps to support its growth, including entering the London Stock Exchange Alternative Investment Market in spring, taking on Norville’s lens manufacturing operations, and most recently announcing conditional plans to acquire the German eyewear supplier Eschenbach.
In the autumn, Inspecs appointed a new general manager for Norville’s lens and manufacturing operations, with Nevil Trotter joining the company.
