Nikon Optical UK at 100% Optical 2020

OT  speaks to Nikon Optical UK’s Arnaud Dupont

“Nikon recognises that premium independent practices need business support,” managing director of Nikon Optical UK, Arnaud Dupont, told OT during 100% Optical in January.

As a result, the company launched its Building your vision campaign during the three-day trade show. The initiative, Mr Dupont explained, “brings together all the key values that Nikon can bring to a practice in order to make them successful.”

The three elements that are incorporated into the campaign, Mr Dupont highlighted, are the Nikon Difference, which is about the brand and product; the frictionless service, which is about the service that is provided to patients; and the business network.

“It’s a tough market for independent practices, they are fighting against big players and online retailers, and a lot of business owners are trained for the medical side of things. There isn’t much in terms of business support and business knowledge,” he said.

Acknowledging this, Nikon runs both experience days and business conferences for independent practitioners to provide them with support in these areas.
