Natural goat horn
A new Tom Davies style was boiled in oil and sanded for two hours
19 June 2019
Tom Davies has launched a style made from handcrafted, natural goat horn.
The horn used in the ‘TDH042’ model (pictured) was boiled in oil to give it a semi-transparent look and then sanded by hand with 1000g sandpaper for two hours to create a matt finish.
The bespoke eyewear company designed the frame for men who want to wear round frames but don’t believe they suit them.
It has been flattened off at the top of the frame slightly in order to match the brow line of most male faces.
Founder of the eyewear company, Tom Davies, said: “I originally designed these frames for a customer in Germany back in 2010. Since then, this design has grown to be one of the most popular men’s frame shapes.”
The frame can also be customised with natural horn colours and patterns via the Tom Davies bespoke service.
