Zeiss has launched AdaptiveSun photochromic ophthalmic lenses that change in different light conditions.
The smart lenses perform in all conditions, using photochromic modules that react to the level of exposure to UV radiation while absorbing between 60–97% of light.
Zeiss explained that most sunglasses wearers find it difficult to achieve clear and comfortable vision when light conditions change.
The lenses are available in all Zeiss freeform lens designs, including wrapped lenses, and are available in eight tint colours with solid and gradient options.
AdaptiveSun can be combined with Zeiss DuraVision Sun UV and its DuraVision Mirror Sun colours range.
