Bollé Brands launches two new Serengeti sunglasses

The frames are made from all-natural cotton and cellulose propionate acetate

Bolle Serengeti frame

Bollé Brands has launched two new handcrafted acetate sunglasses from its Serengeti brand.

The ‘Delio’ and ‘Raffaele’ frames are made from all-natural cotton and cellulose propionate acetate in order to create a lightweight frame with different patterns and hues.

Head of product management at Serengeti, Vanessa Rebelo, said: “This high-end material has great properties. It can be made in an infinite variety of colours and it is also hypoallergenic and very durable. Another advantage is its adaptability. Opticians can easily adjust acetate frames by warming them to perfectly fit the wearer’s features.”

The styles feature Serengeti’s ultra-light mineral lenses that are made from borosilicate optical glass and include photochromic, spectral control and polarising technologies.

Bollé Brands explained that the lenses are chemically tempered to ensure scratch and impact resistance. An anti-reflective coating has also been added to the backside of the lens.

Both frames are available in five colours and a prescription can be included in the lens.
