Mondottica International has signed an agreement with Scotch & Soda to design, produce and distribute eyewear collections for men and women.
Founded in 1985 and based in Amsterdam, Scotch & Soda's style is inspired by treasure hunting, the company explained.
Frames include the ‘Scotch’ for men, ‘Maison’ for women, ‘Shrunk’ for boys and ‘R’Belle’ for girls, which are designed to complement the brands denim collection.
Speaking about the partnership, Mondottica’s founder and CEO, Michael Jardine, said: “We are excited to have the opportunity to work with such a truly distinctive fashion and lifestyle brand. Scotch & Soda has an eclectic and well considered approach to design which aligns closely with our way of developing unique eyewear collections.”
Scotch & Soda’s creative director, Marlou van Engelen, explained that she has wanted to develop Scotch & Soda eyewear for a long time.
“We are happy that we were able to find a partner who is as dedicated to material research, custom colours and surprising details as we are. After a sneak peek of our first designs, I know they are going to be a great complement or contrast to our looks,” she said.
The first Scotch & Soda eyewear collection by Mondottica will be available from spring/summer 2020 and will be distributed globally.
The sunglass range will also be available through Scotch & Soda’s own retail network, as well as selected global stockists.
