Spectacle lens manufacturer Tokai UK is the latest company to join SightCare’s Preferred Eye Care Suppliers (SPECS).

As a member of the scheme, Tokai UK will be able to supply SightCare members with its portfolio of lenses.

CEO of Tokai UK, Leigh Smith, said: “We are thrilled to be joining the SPECS scheme and look forward to offering our range of differential lenses to independent SPECS members. As an independent company ourselves, we have built our business in the UK based solely on the needs of the modern-day independent practice.”

SightCare’s SPECS scheme provides independent practices with access to more than 50 optical companies that offer frames, lenses, contact lenses and accessories. The scheme operates a centralised billing process that is designed to make payments to the individual suppliers.

CEO of SightCare, John French, said: “We are delighted to have Tokai UK join our SPECS scheme as both an independent focused company and one which focuses on innovation, customer satisfaction and outstanding quality. We understand the challenges that independent eye care practitioners face and through our scheme we work with our partners to provide high quality optical products and services to help our members grow their business.”
