Thierry Lasry launches debut optical collection to celebrate 12 years in the fashion industry

Thierry Lasry launches optical collection

In celebration of his 12th anniversary in the fashion industry, eyewear designer Thierry Lasry launched his debut optical collection at Silmo.

Inspired by his desire to find the perfect frames, the collection has been created with the ethos of bringing sophistication to the forefront of the product.

Mr Lasry explained: “The need for new glasses and comfort of vision appealed to me. I had the urge to work on a kind of ideal optical locker room that may first be a selfish need to find the product I myself would like to find on the market.”

The collection, which has been developed with luxury, innovation and excitement in mind, incorporates ‘80s themes, geometry, duality of colours and a variety of materials.

Titanium frames in the collection have been produced in Japan, while the acetate frames have been hand-crafted in France.

The launch celebrates Mr Lasry’s experience as a key player in the luxury eyewear sector, during which he has collaborated with fashion houses such as Acne Studies and Fendi, as well as designers Kelly Wearthler and Dr Woo.

The Thierry Lasry optical collection is now distributed in 50 countries and in retailers such as Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Selfridges, Le Bon Marché, Liberty and Dover Street Market.
