Ørgreen has launched the Quantum Collection 2.0, a range of 12 spectacles for men and women.

Describing the range, international sales manager at Ørgreen, Jose Juan Valinas Rial said: “Quantum Collection 2.0 is in essence a technical concept hinge, combining modern materials with traditional craftsmanship.”

The frames feature a spherical hinge that connects the titanium arm to the polyamide front, eliminating the need for screws.

Mr Rial shared that the frames go through 12 finishing steps, including the three main processes of tumbling, colour dyeing and coating.

“The tumbling gives the front its smooth surface, while the dyeing gives us the precise colour tone we want to achieve. The coating is the final protection layer that will guarantee the longevity and quality of the frame in regard to skin contact, cosmetics and UV light,” he explained.

Men’s frames in the collection include ‘2.08’ (pictured), which has a deep bridge in a square-shaped style that has been softened around the corners.

The ‘2.05’ model is a women’s frame inspired by the 1950s-pin-up style. It has cat’s eye shaped corners and is available in chocolate with bronze or Bordeaux with gold colour options.
