New titanium spectacles from Cutler and Gross provide the wearer with a lightweight summer style that have hypoallergenic qualities
23 April 2018
Cutler and Gross has launched a new range of titanium frames for spring/summer 2018.
The front of the ‘1303’ model is made from a slim Italian acetate and combined with Japanese titanium on the arms to create a lightweight frame for the summer.
The eyewear company explained to OT that the titanium is beneficial for its hypoallergenic qualities.
Style director at Cutler and Gross, Marie Wilkinson, said: “Titanium’s hypoallergenic qualities are advantageous for eyewear because, as with fine jewellery, it won’t cause any reaction or discomfort to the skin. Other metals require an acetate coating on the temples, so without them, they are even more lightweight and fine.”
