A bastion of the fashion conscious, Vision Expo East 2018 showcased a range of eye-catching eyewear brands. OT picks out four international brands to look out for this year…

Italy: Charlie Max Milano

Created in Milan, and manufactured in Italy, the Charlie Max brand made its debut appearance at Vision Expo East in 2018.

Expect delicate metal frames in over-sized shapes.

The company explained: “Milan is the undisputed fashion capital of the world. We are inspired by the styles, trends and artistic stimulus found at the heart of the city.”

Italy: RES/REI Eyewear

Another ‘made in Italy’ success, RES/REI Eyewear impresses with its playful use of colours, and quirky acetate frame shapes using the round ‘geek’ look.

The company explained: “RES/REI is Latin for ‘an object with substance and form.’ But is also means a concept, an idea. We are bringing these two components together.”
