Shamir raises £4619 for Breast Cancer Care

Shamir UK’s pink campaign has raised £4619 for Breast Cancer Care, which will be used to support people affected by breast cancer.

Launched in October 2017, the lens company’s campaign included four main events in order to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

Events included Shamir changing its colour on digital platforms from red to pink, a sweepstake to win a TV on its JustGiving page, a donation with every branded progressive lens sold, and a point of sale pack that was distributed to independent practices.

General manager of Shamir UK, Phil Bareham, said that the company is delighted to have raised this amount of money for the charity.

“We hope that our money allows the charity to continually provide care, support and information to the 62,000 people diagnosed with the most common cancer in the UK every year,” he shared.

The money raised will be used by Breast Cancer Care to continue providing free services, such as its support helpline, online forums and local group support.
