Eyewear company, De Rigo and Fila Luxembourg S.àr.l. owner of the Fila brand globally, have announced the renewal of the licence agreement for the design, production and distribution of FILA branded eyewear.
The partnership, which was first launched in 1996, will see frames and sunglasses distributed in Europe, Middle East, Africa, the Americas, Australia and New Zealand, through to 2023.
According to the company, Fila eyewear plays an important role in its brand portfolio with double digit growth in turnover in 2016 and a positive start to 2017.
The key to the sports brand’s success is its positioning as a designer brand product, in a well-defined market segment, Fila explained.
Global chairman at Fila, Gene Yoon, said: “We are proud to extend our long-time partnership with De Rigo, the collaboration has been important in strengthening our growth potential in the eyewear market.
