Orgreen Optics has launched the Quantum collection, a range of eyewear that coincides with the company’s 20th anniversary.
During development of the collection, the eyewear brand devised a spherical component for a new hinge that is hidden in plain sight, Orgreen’s head of design, Tobias Wandrup explained.
“It’s inserted in the front of the frame and has the same colour as the temple. We show a hint of something, but not everything,” he said.
“The sphere keeps the frame light and makes it easy to adjust the frame inclination for the optimal fit. It also stays true to our brand. Simple shapes, subtle details and discrete functionality,” Mr Wandrup added.
Orgreen highlighted that the Quantum collection is made from polyamide, a material that is “ultra-light, comfortable, and strong yet flexible with shape memory.”
The Quantum collection is available in frame shapes such as round, panto, rectangular and square with 120 colour combinations on offer, including electric blue, petroleum green and vibrant violet.
