Cutler and Gross has unveiled Techni-Colour, its autumn/winter 2017 collection of sunglasses.

The British eyewear brand said that the collection “introduces a bold new line of modern styles milled from a solid piece of metal using state of the art technology,” with lenses in Cutler and Gross’ widest ever selection of new colourways.

The ‘1269’ and ‘1270’ models take inspiration for their shape from the 1980s and incorporate contemporary detailing, such as a double bridge and ridged metal sides, Cutler and Gross highlighted. Each of these frames are available on flat lenses and in eight colourways.

Style director, Marie Wilkinson, explained: “As a uniquely placed, independent heritage brand, we are constantly fine-tuning the balance between the traditional craftsmanship of the past and the innovative designs and technology of the future.

“Our new collection aims to do just this, enhancing our range of iconic models with cutting edge designs and new manufacturing techniques, yet remaining loyal to our artisanal roots with an uncompromising dedication to handmade craftsmanship.”

Cutler and Gross noted that all of the frames are made at its factory in Cadore, Italy from Italian acetate and high-grade metals, featuring hand-riveted hinges and UV400 lenses.
