Essilor named on Forbes’ most innovative list for seventh year in a row
The French ophthalmic optics company was one of 100 companies listed

Essilor has been named by Forbes as one of 100 of the world’s ‘most innovative companies’ for 2017.
It is the seventh year in a row that Essilor has been named on the list of 100 publicly traded companies, who have been identified by investors as having the best innovation potential.
President and chief operating officer of Essilor International, Laurent Vacherot, said: “Essilor’s approach to innovation is all about consumer-centricity, so as to answer their current and future needs with advanced expertise. Innovation has always been a cornerstone of our strategy. We have one goal – to push back the frontiers of poor vision worldwide.”
Essilor highlighted that it has three Innovation and Technology Centres and collaborates with a network of research partners to develop solutions for all consumers’ vision needs.
The company’s recent launches include the Varilux X Series and Eyezen.
