‘Flexible & Safe’ fashion launches for children

New contemporary frames added in the Miraflex collection for youngsters up to the age of 10

Dibble Optical has extended the Miraflex range of children’s eyewear with the launch of several new models.

The Miraflex Flexible & Safe (F&S) collection added the new model, ‘Mayan,’ which is a contemporary wayfarer style frame. It is offered in two sizes for children aged from two to 10.

The Italian-made F&S frames are made from a malleable plastic material with no metal parts. They have an anatomically designed nose bridge to comfortably distribute the weight of the frame and corrective lenses over a larger surface.

Several models feature an adapted nose bridge for children with a shallow nasal projection, including the new ‘Baby One+’ frame, with a smaller eye-size to suit children aged from two to three.

Company owner, Barry Dibble, told OT: “Miraflex frames are the ideal choice for babies and young children, as well as an older child or adult who may require safe and impact-resistant eyewear.”

“Not only are they virtually indestructible, crucially the unique construction of the F&S range greatly reduces the risk of facial or eye trauma in the event of an accident,” he added.

Dibble Optical also supplies the Miraflex Fashion collection, consisting of 16 models in up to eight colour options. Many of them are available in a choice of sizes for fashion-conscious children and teenagers in the age range seven to 16.

The Miraflex Fashion frames are manufactured from high quality acetate materials. They have flexible sides and a specially designed nose bridge to suit the unique measurements of a child’s face. The aim is for fashionable frames for children that are both comfortable and appealing to wear.

The frames have been a success for Dibble Optical. Mr Dibble explained: “Miraflex has been a specialist in children’s eyewear for more than 20 years and I’m very proud to have represented the brand exclusively in the UK and Eire since 2010.

“During that time, what started out as a tentative foray into children’s frames has transformed the company into a major player in paediatric eyewear sales.

“Our most recent development has been to invest in a state-of-the-art finishing lab to allow us to offer an all-inclusive service for Miraflex products.”
