New global role for Silhouette UK managing director

Silhouette UK managing director, David Chalmers, has been promoted to global sales director at Silhouette’s headquarters in Linz, Austria. The appointment follows recent brand growth in the UK and Ireland.

Mr Chalmers will oversee worldwide sales of all Silhouette brands, Silhouette, neubau Eyewear, Adidas Sports Eyewear and Silhouette Vision Sensation.

The announcement follows the launch of Silhouette’s first ever range of ophthalmic lenses. Silhouette Vision Sensation is the brand’s new initiative, which will enable it to offer both frames and lenses to its clients. 
 
Speaking of his new appointment, Mr Chalmers said: "With the launch of Silhouette Vision Sensation, it is an exciting time to relocate to Linz. I am delighted to be given this opportunity by Silhouette AG, and look forward to the challenge of leading sales functions globally." 

"My previous experience in the UK and Eire market should prove invaluable in assisting the development of the company," he added.
