Karen Walker Eyewear has launched its first-ever range of ‘Metals Clear Lens’ frames. The new collection from the New Zealand fashion designer comprises everyday silhouettes that complement her quirky sunglasses shapes.

Described by the brand as ‘perfect for the eccentric dresser,’ the new frames are said to transcend conventional spectacles.

All four of the Metals shapes, aviator teardrop ‘Jacques,’ ‘Simone,’ ‘Marguerite’ and ‘Emmanuel’ are offered in combinations of gold, silver and navy frames and can also be fitted with prescription lenses.

The designer’s clothing, eyewear, jewellery, fragrance and accessories are sold in 38 countries.

Speaking about the new eyewear, Ms Walker said: “The lightness of the way the Metals frames float on the face worked perfectly for extension into clear lenses.

“There’s an inherent delicacy to the collection that transcends conventional spectacles to become jewellery for the eyes,” she concluded.
