Fuchsia in fashion

Dunelm Optical has launched women’s ophthalmic frames in response to a particular colour appearing on the fashion catwalks for 2017 – hot-pink fuchsia, a vivid purplish-red colour.

Dunelm Optical is one of the largest frames suppliers in the UK, offering 16 brands that take into account the latest fashion trends.

Dunelm Optical managing director, Peter Beaumont, explained: “We work closely with our designers to capture the emerging trends so that our independent opticians can offer their customers the widest and most up-to-date choice of frames.”

Reflecting on the fashions for 2017, Mr Beaumont told OT: “We are seeing a return of strong statement colours to our frames, and our new autumn collection features a great selection, none more so than ‘Retro 360’ and ‘Janet Reger 4155.’

“Our ‘Retro 360’ frame in colour ‘C1’ has a delightful wood-grain effect, with a hot- pink fuchsia inner complemented by a flash of colour on the edges. This frame is aimed more at the younger, trendy woman.”

He added: “Our ‘Janet Reger 4155’ frame is a metal semi-rimless design, featuring a feminine lace pattern, for the sophisticated, older woman.”

Mr Beaumont highlighted: “Dunelm Optical is one of the few frame and lenses all-in glazed prescription houses, which enables us to offer delivery within 24 hours on frame and lens packages.”
