Dunelm Optical appoints an export manager

Dunelm Optical has announced the internal appointment of a new export manager due to the company’s further development and additional investment.

The new export manager is Phil Toolsy, who has been at the company for over 10 years and has had a high level of success developing frames and glazing sales in North London and East Anglia.

Mr Toolsy is now going to direct his “huge product knowledge and experience” to develop the British company’s export markets.

He will represent Dunelm’s 16-strong brand collection around the world, including such well-known names as Paul Costelloe, Janet Reger, Julian Beaumont and Whiz Kids, in addition to the new Italian-inspired Ascari range and the new teen range from OMG! Eyewear.

Dunelm Optical managing director, Peter Beaumont, said: “We export our unique frames to over 50 countries and we wish to expand this area of our business.

“We are seeing increased enquiries from overseas following the recent movement in exchange rates, which has made British exports extremely competitive. With all his knowledge and experience, Phil is the right man for the job.”
