Flextra features added to titanium styles

Brulimar Optical launches ophthalmic titanium frames with flexibility and ‘memory’

Part of the Brumilar Flextra titanium collection

Brulimar Optical has launched its ‘Flextra’ titanium collection of ophthalmic frames for men and women.

One of the key attributes incorporated in all the new frames is an ability to return to their original shape. This means that the wearer is able to twist and bend their frames, and then release them to snap back into alignment.

Brulimar managing director, Howard Librae, said: “Titanium is not new technology, but adding the elasticity to it in order to give the frame full flexibility and memory is  the ‘extra’ that is in these frames.”

The Flextra frames are made from nickel-free materials and are therefore suitable for people with nickel allergies.

Designing the collection for a wider demographic was a major consideration in production, the company emphasised.

Mr Librae added: “The eyewear is extremely light in weight to suit people that wear glasses every day or for long periods of time. They’re also great for those that have a large prescription, because, even with high-index lenses, eyewear can be heavy to wear.

“A super-lightweight frame like one in the Flextra collection offers the best of both fashionable and practical worlds,” he concluded.

The collection showcases pops of bright colour tones in understated locations, to contrast with the neutral matt hues on the rest of the frame.
