Italian manufacturer launches vintage-inspired sunglasses collection with a touch of velvet

La Dolce Vita sunglasses

La Dolce Vita has launched its vintage-inspired Avant-Garde sun collection for 2016, featuring predominantly rounded shapes and opulent styling.

The company was founded in 2012 and has made ‘the Italian way’ its trademark. The eyewear is crafted in Italy by skilled artisans and is available in pure acetate or finished in velvet, for a niche collection.

An array of styles – men’s and women’s sunglasses, as well as ophthalmic frames – has been crafted by the company in an Italian acetate, Mazzucchelli.

Velvet is the flagship sunglasses line, created using state-of-the-art “electrode position” technology to shower perpendicular fibres onto the surface of the frame. The acetate base is etched to allow the fibres to grip more firmly for a longer lasting finish.

The most recent addition is LeCorbusier, a classic circular style with a modern twist, interpreted through updated details and materials.
