Double boost as companies announce early renewal of eyewear agreement
Twins’ fashion brand Dsquared2 extends partnership with Marcolin for sunglasses and optical eyewear until 2021
24 May 2016
The Marcolin Group and fashion clothing brand Dsquared2 have today (24 May) announced the early renewal of an exclusive licensing agreement for the design, manufacture and global distribution of Dsquared2 sun and optical eyewear. The agreement extends the current partnership until 2021.
The collaboration between the two companies began in 2008 and the announcement is said by the companies “to illustrate the willingness to mutually engage in the further development and internationalisation of the brand.”
Chief executive of the Marcolin Group, Giovanni Zoppas, said: “Dsquared2 holds a specific position in our brand’s portfolio due to its uniqueness and high versatility.”
“Our partnership will be increasingly close and strong, both in terms of product development and definition of the marketing strategies,” he added.
Dsquared2 was founded by twin brothers, Dean and Dan Caten, in 1995, and has fashion outlets across the world, including a store that opened in London last year.
In the press announcement about the licence, the brothers said: “After almost 10 years of collaboration, we are excited to announce the renewal of our partnership with the Marcolin Group.
“We are strongly convinced that this collaboration will bring great results to our common business thanks to the new projects we are working on together,” they concluded.
