Dutz Eyewear has launched its major new collection for spring and summer 2016, consisting of 20 new metal styles and nine new children’s frames. Six new acetate styles will also be launched in March.

The frames ‘DZ 588,’ ‘DZ 592’ and ‘DZ2164’ offer a new interpretation of classic tortoiseshell “with a Dutz twist.” Among the top 10 colours forecast for spring 2016 is snorkel blue.

Dutz Eyewear is distributed in the UK by The Eyewear Company. Marketing director for the Eyewear Company, Kevin Carmichael, told OT: “Retro square and circular shapes with a strong vintage feel were showcased in many runway shows. The Dutz designers have successfully managed to give them a fresh makeover for the spring/summer collection.”

Mr Carmichael continued: “Round shapes with wood inspired patterns, Havana prints combined with bold colours and panto shapes, as well as metal squares in bright colour-blocking combinations all achieve a sense of edgy sophistication.

“We love the geek chic styles here at The Eyewear Company. We will make the UK look so Dutz.”

The Dutz Eyewear company, which is based in Oss in the Netherlands, has also introduced four new Zero15 styles, which brings the total of titanium frames in the range to 12.

To follow up the successful ‘Jeans in our Genes’ collection, the Dutz designers have again taken their inspiration from fabrics.

The summer fabric linen is combined with the classic semi rimless women’s model in the new style ‘DZ587.’ Frame ‘DZ585’ features organic cotton with a kaftan-inspired pattern in a natural colour palette.

Another striking addition to the spring/summer 2016 collection is model ‘DZ584.’ Featuring a top half in wood inlay, the remainder of the frame is finished in black leather. The leather and wood materials are kept very thin to maintain a sleek profile.

For children, the new ‘Dutz Kidz’ collection features nine new frames. For girls there are colours such as ‘popsicle purple,’ ‘fiesta red’ and ‘serenity blue,’ while for boys there are ‘cool surf blues’ and ‘flash green.’

Dutz Eyewear is carrying on the trend for Aztec prints in the children’s collection for the new season. The bold shapes, the distinctive colour combinations and the patterns are said to contribute to the popularity behind the trend.

The Eyewear Company will be showcasing its new collections at 100% Optical at ExCeL London, 6–8 February on stand E200. For more information, visit the company’s website.
