Menrad Optics has launched its Jaguar sunglasses collection for 2016. The Jaguar eyewear brand is renowned for its use of materials and design transfers from its famous sports cars to the frames.
Highlighted in the new range of three styles are the new brushed-look sunglasses ‘Model 37158,’ which feature distinctive red mirrored lenses, with the colour transferred from the car.
The new style is also available in brown/havanna with blue/turquoise lenses, dark brown with orange/red lenses and black with green/grey lenses.
Menrad Optics’ managing director, Chris Beal, told OT: “Our 30-year relationship with Jaguar goes from strength to strength, as does the brand itself. The design transfers from sports car to frame make the Jaguar products especially interesting.
“Working closely with the brand, our designers ensure that in every Jaguar eyewear collection there are modern interpretations, with remarkable design transfers from the car’s interior, colour and configuration.”
‘Model 37716’ is made out of light aluminium, a material transfer from the sports car. It has a sporty shape and is offered in the colours ‘gun-antique’ with grey and ‘gun-antique’ with yellow, as well as ‘black-antique.’
‘Model 33578’ takes its design transfer from the interior of the Jaguar car, and features leather-look sides. It is available in three colours, black, gold/brown and silver/grey.
