Continental Eyewear is launching the 2016 Jaeger sunglasses collection next month.
The 22 designs will feature in a new brochure which will be sent to all of the company’s customers in December before Christmas.
Continental Eyewear’s sales and marketing director, Neal Grimason, told OT: “One of the essential pre-requisites when formulating the collection was to ensure that all the frames are glazeable with prescription lenses, as the vast majority of the Jaeger sunglasses sales are through practices and a larger proportion of these sales will be glazed to the patient’s own prescription.”
Mr Grimason added: “Quality was another essential requirement. Jaeger as a brand is synonymous with quality and Continental Eyewear has ensured that the sunglasses collection bearing the name of this iconic British fashion house has been manufactured to the highest possible standards, using the best materials available.”
Mr Grimason concluded: “Jaeger also has equal appeal to women and men and the range reflects this, with an extensive choice for both sexes. The majority of the new styles, 15 in total, are manufactured in acetate and all are glazed with UV400, CR39 lenses.”
Continental Eyewear exhibited Jaeger on its first stand at the Hong Optical Fair (5–7 November).
Mr Grimason said: “The Hong Kong exhibition provided us with an international platform to showcase our portfolio to the Asian market, including countries which don't attend the European trade shows.
“We were situated in the 'brand name gallery,' a premium section showcasing Jaeger and other branded eyewear which stand out for creativity and quality.
“Hong Kong is definitely a diverse place to visit and the location was spectacular, situated on the harbour side, nestled between the skyscrapers. Overall the show was a great success generating sales and potential new customers. We will definitely be going back.”
