Elle launches 18 sunglasses for women

Paris fashion brand Elle has launched 18 new sunglasses for 2016, which are available from Charmant UK.

All of the new styles are glazeable and Charmant is offering a glazing package of 12 frames with the Elle sun collection, as well as a display stand.

The sunglasses are hand finished acetates which draw inspiration from Paris, as well as travel. There is also a hint of retro styling about the new range.

Charmant UK general manager, Louise Brunton, told OT: “The new Elle sunglasses range offers a  beautiful and sophisticated collection for women which is fully glazeable. We are trying to help practices to maximise their sales of sunglasses by making them available to as wide a market as possible.”

The theme of the new range is that the Elle woman’s life “is a never-ending fashion adventure as she embarks on a safari in the amazing urban jungle that is Paris.”

Elle eyewear is designed to reflect her spirit of adventure and the new sunglasses’ collection is said by the brand to echo “street messages, enthralling safaris and maritime travel.”

The frame profiles feature soft angles and flowing lines sculpted in metal and acetate. Selected styles from the collection are designed to offer added comfort due to the use of the light and flexible material Ultem.

The new season’s colours focus on shades of cyan, mint green and strong pink, complemented by sides featuring urban graphic elements, jungle-inspired patterns and bold naval stripes.

Among the new sunglasses is translucent acetate style ‘EL 14824.’ The classic black model features sides with a modern tortoiseshell design in black and glittery silver. The purple and turquoise versions feature colourful geometric stripes, while the brown model has an abstract pattern.

Sunglasses ‘EL 14828’ have large sides with a raised safari-inspired pattern. The fronts are available in black, as well as subdued tones of blue, brown and purple, while the sides feature classic black and shades of pearly brown.

‘EL 14832’ is an oversized transparent acetate frame featuring a long maritime stripe running the length of the solid sides. A touch of golden or silver detailing completes the marine look. The frames are available in solid black, translucent brown, navy blue and pink.
