Continental Eyewear releases new ophthalmic frames for women
29 September 2015
Continental Eyewear has launched seven new ophthalmic frames in its X-eyes collection.
Pictured is X-eyes model 145, which offers a striking black eye front with contrasting, detailed sides.
Continental Eyewear’s sales and marketing director, Neal Grimason, told OT: “The women’s eyewear market has seen a radical shift in the last few years. It is no longer possible to age a frame, that is, to target a specific frame at a particular age.
“The X-eyes collection typifies this change. When originally launched 10 years ago, it was targeted at the 25–40-year-old.
“Now the appeal of all the frames in the range has broadened considerably; in fact, I’ve heard of teenagers wearing them and right up to the other end of the age spectrum. Whilst I won’t mention a patient’s actual age, let me just say that the optician asked for full payment when the spectacles were ordered, just in case.”
