Luxury fashion label Marni and leading eyewear manufacturer Marchon have announced their partnership in a new eyewear venture.
The new collections, driven by the creative direction of fashion designer Consuelo Castiglioni, will provide lines for both men and women and offer a range of styles for optical frames and sunglasses.
Set to launch in spring and summer 2016, the collections will retail in Marni stores alongside selected optical and fashion stores.
Marni’s collaboration with Marchon aims to increase its brand reach by developing its presence in eyewear, a large segment of the fashion accessory industry.
Commenting on the launch, CEO of Marni Group, Gianni Castiglioni, said: “We are strongly invested in this important agreement with Marchon, which aspires to further diversify and grow the Marni accessories business and to significantly consolidate our brand identity.”
President and CEO of Marchon Eyewear, Claudio Gottardi, added: “We are really excited to embark on this collaboration with Marni, which will enable us to focus on empowering our licensing strategy with the European luxury brands and to produce collections that are 100% designed and made in Italy, a driving force of our growth strategy.”
