Launch event celebrates luxury eyewear initiative

De Rigo UK launches new members club
De Rigo UK has launched a new luxury club for practitioners which offers its members premium eyewear, service and benefits.

The frames manufacturer and distributor launched the club last month (14 May) with a celebration at Hanbury Manor in Ware, Hertfordshire.

The De Rigo Luxury Members Club offers benefits including exclusive previews of its latest collections, an extended three-year product guarantee, priority shipping and merchandising workshops, as well as a dedicated luxury member from the customer care team and the potential to have personalised branding within the practice.

It offers luxury brands such as Lanvin, Chopard and the bespoke brand, Lozza Sartoriale, which were displayed at the launch celebration. January 2016 will see the launch of additional luxury brands to boost the offering.

De Rigo UK subsidiary director, Paul Clapton, told OT: “The De Rigo Luxury Members Club was launched in response to market demand. In general, luxury retailing is on the increase again and the same applies for the optical sector.

“The aim is to create a better platform for our luxury brands and to create bespoke partnerships with our customers. This is not a one cap fits all approach. Customers will have different brands and at varying levels, which is why we think bespoke partnerships, where we work closely with our customers in their specific circumstances, will work better for our luxury customers and for us.

“The first evening was a great success and we are looking forward to holding more regional events of the same caliber.”

Mr Clapton revealed that up to four more regional events could be held this year around September and October. He added: “In keeping with our luxury brands, we want customers to experience beautiful, aspirational locations. Hanbury Manor was a stunning location to launch our new De Rigo Luxury concept so we will be striving to repeat, and possibly eclipse, this.”

One of the styles shown at the launch event was the Chopard Cannes special edition sunglasses, ‘Schb21s’ (pictured) which were made for the recent Cannes film festival.

The oversized sunglasses feature Swiss jewels, multi-layered Carl Zeiss lenses, zircon crystals and are offered with a special presentation box.
