BiB Ophthalmic Instruments has signed an exclusive distribution contract to supply Air8 Air Filtration systems in the optical industry.
Air8 manufactures medical-grade multi-stage air filtration systems which have been widely used in the dental and general medical markets.
Now the company is looking to provide its technology to optical practices.
The company shared: “We have monitored the continual process practitioners have had to undertake in terms of rigorous and relentless sanitisation of spectacle fames, instruments and general surfaces.”
“Air8 treats the air, eliminating potentially harmful particles before they reach surfaces and product,” they said, adding that it is particularly effective on nano particles.
The company has four units in its Air8 range, including Air8 280 Nano, Air8 260i Nano, Air8 720i Edge and the Air8 1200i Pro [pictured].
The devices include medical-grade Hepa Nano filters as well as multiple filtering systems.
Along with the devices, the company has produced artwork and stickers which advertise to patients that the practice is a “Safe Air Space.”
“Air8 integrated solutions provide secure interior air for your patients and employees,” the company said. Air8 suggested that, by reducing allergy symptoms and the spread of viruses, the solutions can help to keep staff safe, healthy and at work, and provide reassurance for patients.
