The equipment company explained that the device is designed for use on children and at mass screening events.
It is a portable diagnostic device designed to allow clinicians to quickly detect vision abnormalities on patients from six-month olds to adults.
It can screen both eyes at once from one metre away. Once the pupils are in focus, the device will start to calculate automatically and deliver results within one second.
