An Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) fundraising event, which will be held on 21 July at Ireland’s Carton House golf resort, will feature a range of fun and educational activities arranged by Ocuco.
On the day, software solutions company Ocuco will host an 18-hole golf competition on the O’Meara Course, a visit to the spa at Carton House, and a coach tour to the ‘valley of the two lakes’ at Glendalough.
“100% of the participation fee, £130 per person, will go directly to OGS, thanks to our joint support with West Midlands Optical,” Alice Austin, Ocuco chief sales and marketing officer, explained to OT.
“The money raised from this event will be donated to training, establishing vision centres and delivering eye care and low-cost glasses,” she added.
A CET lecture will take place at the event as well as an interactive panel discussion with representatives from practices in the US, Canada and the UK, offering four CET points in total.
The event will conclude with dinner and entertainment in a private area on the Carton Estate.
