Scope Ophthalmics has developed a multi-platform service to support practitioners as they strive to meet the rising patient demand for an effective treatment for dry eye.

The Tear Clinic combines the diagnosis technology of TearLab with CET training, flexible management plans and marketing support, offering practitioners a “win-win-win solution,” Scope said.

The service includes access to products such as TearLab, Blephex, Hycosan lubricants, Optase tea tree oil lid wipes and heat mask, and Omega eye nutrition supplements. From the business perspective, the practice is also supported through a promotional launch kit designed to engage both customers and media on the new service.

Commenting on the establishment of Tear Clinic, managing director of Scope in the UK and Ireland, Paul O’Reilly, explained: “Modern lifestyles mean that a growing number of people are suffering with dry eye symptoms, and engaging patients in a conversation about eye health is the best way to improve outcomes.”
