FDC International Ltd recalls two batches of its Sodium Cromoglicate 2% eye drops

FDC International Ltd is recalling batches of its Sodium Cromoglicate 2% w/v 13.5ml eye drops, it was announced today (18 May).

The recall was detailed in a drug alert issued by the Medicines and Healthcare products and Regulatory Agency and states that the pharmaceutical company is recalling the affected batches as “a precautionary measure due to a precipitate observed in the bottles.”

The affected batches are GJW6071 and GJW6072, which were first distributed by FDC International Ltd in September 2016. 


Practitioners who have purchased eye drops from the affected batches are advised to quarantine and return the product to: MPW, Quest 90, Quest Park, Wheatley Hall Road, Doncaster, South Yorkshire DN2 4LT.
