On receiving the award, Scope marketing director of UK and Ireland, Paul O’Reilly, said: “Receiving the Optician Award is a huge honour and recognition of Scope’s dedication, innovation and pioneering ethos. We look forward to continuing the excellent work we do with our optical partners over the next year with new products, advanced in-practice support and ground-breaking methods of commercial service delivery.”

The annual awards ceremony was held at the Birmingham Metropole on 31 March. Other winners on the evening included independent practice Hammond & Dummer Opticians, which won the Contact Lens Patient Engagement accolade and Albert Road Opticians which won Fashion Practice of the Year.

Recognising the work of individuals, Alisdair Buchanan received Optometrist of the Year and SeeAbility’s Ned Saunders was named Dispensing Optician of the Year.
