Topcon appoints new service manager for the UK

Change of role for field service manager and specialist laser engineer, Mark Evans

New Topcon UK field service manager, Mark EvansTopcon (GB) Ltd has announced the appointment of Mark Evans (pictured), UK field service manager and specialist laser engineer, to the role of service manager for the UK.

Mr Evans has been with Topcon for seven years, working with a number of highly specialised products.

His biggest achievement to date according to the company is being instrumental in the national roll out of eight LENSAR femtosecond cataract lasers across the UK’s private theatres and seamlessly integrating them into the clinics.

Mr Evans has been involved in the service sector for 25 years and will now lead a team of engineers and manage service agreements for the company. He will also be managing the continued relationship with Topcon’s service partner, Veritek.

Commenting on his new position, Mr Evans said: “This role is both challenging and rewarding. Having been involved in field support for many years, I have a very good understanding of the customer requirements and the challenges that they face on a day-to-day basis.”

He added: “I am looking forward to leading Topcon’s already excellent and very skilled service team to improving our support offering further.”
