New Nidek devices to be launched

Birmingham Optical to demonstrate “revolutionary technologies” at Optrafair 2016

Nidek Tonoref III
Birmingham Optical will be launching a number of Nidek equipment developments at Optrafair (9–11 April, Birmingham NEC).

The company will be launching the new ‘Nidek Tonoref III,’ a four-in-one pre-screen device. It combines the functionality of an auto-refractometer, auto-keratometer, non-contact tonometer and non-contact pachymeter.

The new ‘Nidek VersaCam’ handheld fundus camera will also be launched at the show. The portable, lightweight device is designed to allow fundus images to be taken easily with a 5MP resolution and a 45° field of view.

Visitors to the show will also be able to see the ‘Nidek Retina Scan Duo OCT and Colour Fundus Camera,’ combined with advanced technologies and support one year on.

On the lens glazing side, will be the ‘Nidek Le-700,’ an “everything you need” three- in-one edging solution according to Birmingham Optical.

Featuring a blocker, tracer and edger, the equipment gives practices the opportunity to offer on-site edging in just 10 minutes, meaning they can provide a same day service to patients.
The ‘SE-1 Edger,’ which enables high volume productivity with limited space, will also be at the show.

Birmingham Optical sales director, Amanda Danson, said: “We are looking forward to seeing existing and new customers on our stand, with new launches in both optical and laboratory products.

“We are keen to share our continued success with the ‘Nidek Retina Scan Duo OCT,’ as well as the addition of an upgraded Nidek handheld fundus camera.’ The new ‘Nidek Tonoref III’ with compensated IOP, along with many new features, is a hot favourite.”
Ms Danson added: “We are excited to bring key products from our comprehensive range of edging solutions from acquiring a tracer for remote edging, same-day glazing services, all the way through to the most advanced robotic technology for high volume production.

“These are just a few of the revolutionary technologies we are bringing to Optrafair this year,” she concluded.

Birmingham Optical will be on stand H70 at Optrafair. For more information visit the company’s website.
