The Eye Doctor’s eyelid hygiene system saw “significant growth” in sales last year, in both the UK and abroad. The brand’s new ‘Eyelid Wipes’ are seen by the Body Doctor company as a natural addition to its ‘The Eye Doctor’ range, offering step three of the three-step process.
The new ‘Eyelid Wipes’ are suitable for adults and babies and are packed in individually sealed sterile sachets. They are among the company’s launches at Optrafair next month (9–11 April, Birmingham NEC).
Body Doctor sales manager, Sam Wymer, said: “The ‘Eyelid Wipes’ are excellent for gently cleaning away debris from the eyelid and eyelashes. They are available in both packs of tens and thirties, making them excellent value for money for patients.”
The new wipes are recommended by ophthalmologists and GPs, including television presenter Dr Hilary Jones.
Mr Wymer added: “I am incredibly excited to be showcasing our new ‘Eyelid Wipes’ at Optrafair. We have received fantastic feedback from professionals and market research. Patients will significantly benefit from using the specially formulated eyelid wipes when wiping away debris after massaging.”
At the show the company will also be launching its new ‘Eye Mask’ and ‘Ice Doctor Twin Pack’ for the relief of dry eye symptoms.
Mr Wymer told OT: “Following the success of our grain-filled ‘Eye Mask’ and ‘Ice Doctor,’ we are pleased to announce our new twin pack, a set of both hot and cold eye compresses.
“Patients can leave ‘The Ice Doctor’ ready for use in the freezer and use ‘The Eye Mask’ as required, warm from the microwave. This kit offers a great solution for those patients wanting the best of both worlds.”
