Keeler marks scholarship anniversary
Keeler celebrates 25 years in partnership with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists
20 July 2015
Instrument manufacturer Keeler has marked the 25th anniversary of a biannual awards scholarship which it provides in partnership with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
Established in 1990, the scholarship aims to allow young ophthalmologists to study and gain experience at centres of excellence around the world.
To mark the milestone, Keeler hosted a lecture and lunch at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists’ Congress in Liverpool. Delivered by Michael Marmor, Professor of Ophthalmology at Stanford School of Medicine, California, the lecture covered Vision and Eye Disease in Art. All previous and current Keeler scholarship winners were then invited to the celebration lunch.
Keeler marketing manager, Laura Haverley, said: “The Keeler Scholarship is a great programme to help scholars acquire new skills that benefit the development and progress of ophthalmology in the UK. We’re delighted to have invested in this programme for 25 years and look forward to helping more scholars in the future.”
