CooperVision joins 100% Optical 2023

CooperVision has confirmed that it will be joining 100% Optical as an exhibitor in 2023.

The contact lens company has signed up to exhibit at the optical trade show, which will be held at ExCeL London from 25 – 27 February.

Commenting on the news, Doug Bairner, country manager for the UK and Ireland, said: “We’re very much looking forward to engaging with a broad audience from all corners and roles within the nation’s optical practices, and having lots of practical conversations about the reality of fitting contact lenses.”

Bairner added that, “It’s our job to show eye care practitioners how simply and easily contact lenses can provide freedom to their patients, result in great clinical outcomes, and at the same time deliver significantly improved commercial value for practice owners.”

Speaking to OT, Christina Olner, head of professional services in the UK and Ireland for CooperVision, described the move as “a fantastic opportunity to reach a clinically diverse audience and inspire them to prescribe the freedom that contact lenses can bring to both children and adults.”

The company has a “longstanding commitment” to providing contact lens and optical education, Olner emphasised, and plans to use 100% Optical as a platform to deliver CPD.

Though details are to be revealed, the company shared plans to provide CPD opportunities to eye care professionals across all three days of the show. Myopia management will be a central focus for the company at 100% Optical 2023, Olner added.

Commenting on the news, Dr Ian Beasley, AOP head of education and OT clinical editor, said: “The AOP is delighted to be working with CooperVision at 100% Optical 2023 to deliver education on contemporary contact lens themes of relevance to all practising clinicians.”

Earlier this summer, organisers confirmed that over 80% of exhibitor space had already been booked for the coming show.

Celsa Vazquez, event sales manager for 100% Optical, said: “We are delighted that CooperVision have joined our stellar line up for 100% Optical 2023,” adding that visitor feedback revealed a “strong demand” to see the contact lens company at the show.
