Clinical trial assesses accuracy of CooperVision app

The Centre for Ocular Research and Education (CORE) has carried out a clinical study on the accuracy of CooperVision’s OptiExpert app for contact lens power recommendations.

CORE’s study found that power recommendations for CooperVision’s Clariti 1 Day multifocal by the app closely matched those of a practitioner following the fitting guide.

CooperVision said that the findings indicate that 100% of contact lens wearers can be successfully fitted with its multifocal lens using two pairs of trial lenses because of the app’s recommendations.
