SynergEyes UK has announced that it will support the National Keratoconus Foundation’s campaign to raise awareness of the disease on World Keratoconus Day (10 November).

The contact lens company has pledged to donate £1 to its chosen charity of the year, the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, for every SynergEyes hybrid contact lens order placed from 10–17 November.

Hans Sunassee, sales manager of Positive Impact, the UK distributor of SynergEyes contact lenses, said that keratoconus affects thousands of people every day.

“Diagnosis can be devastating and understanding treatment options for the treatment of keratoconus, and knowing that there is hope for you, is the most important part of living with this progressive disease,” he explained.

The disease can lead to visual impairment and blindness, and the SynergEyes UltraHealth hybrid range is specifically designed for patients living with keratoconus.
