Daily disposables for astigmatism

The new Bausch & Lomb contact lens completes the Biotrue One Day range

Bausch & Lomb (B&L) has launched Biotrue One Day for astigmatism, a new daily disposable contact lens for independent practices.

The company said that the lens forms a dehydration barrier to help it maintain 98% of its moisture for up to 16 hours.

The new contact lens is designed to support stability, as well as work with natural blink patterns. It also features a tapered edge to limit lid interaction and orientation marks to help during insertion.

Business unit head of UK and Ireland at B&L, Amy Rothwell, explained: “By harnessing new technologies we have been able to widen our portfolio and offer today’s astigmatic patients consistently clear vision and comfort through the day.”
