Expanding contact lenses

The next specialist contact lens meeting is scheduled for 21–23 September

Contact lens

A three-day meeting designed to enhance practitioners’ skills and expand their knowledge of specialist contact lenses and management will take place in Hertfordshire in September.

Hosted at optometrist Ken Pullum’s Hertford Optometry and Contact Lens Practice, the CET accredited event will run from 21–23 September, with delegates welcome to attend a single day or combination of the days.

A number of experts will take to the stage during the meeting, covering a range of topics from an overview of specialist contact lens practice for the management of keratoconus, to the expanding role of scleral lenses. There will also be a number of practical workshops to give practitioners the opportunity to gain first-hand experience.

Speakers include optometrist in the Scleral Lens Service at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Mr Pullum; consultant ophthalmic surgeon Bita Manzouri; specialist optometrist at Oxford Eye Hospital, Jen McMahon; and specialist optometrist in the Contact Lens Service at Moorfields, Marcello Leucci.

Tickets for the event cost from £240–£696 for optometrists and £108–£384 for pre-reg optometrists and students.
