Bausch & Lomb launches its new digital hub

'Next generation’ website for practitioners and patients offers advice on eye conditions and care, as well as contact lenses

Bausch & Lomb has launched its ‘next generation’ website that is designed to become a hive of activity for practitioners, offering educational materials, news, product information and advice.

To help encourage practice growth, the website will also have the functionality for products to be ordered online, as well as giving visitors information about the company’s extensive eye care portfolio.

The new digital hub is for patients and healthcare professionals to access the latest information on eye concerns and associated eye care advice.

It features sections on presbyopia, myopia, cataracts and age-related macular degeneration. There is also advice on dry eye and diabetes-related eye problems, as well as wearing and caring for contact lenses.

The hub has been built to feature enhanced navigation and architecture, plus a new visual design for a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.

Practitioners can also create their own user account and personalise it. It includes the ability to download specific materials of interest, as well as diarise events and invite contacts to attend.

General manager at Bausch & Lomb UK/I, Duncan Dow, said: “Through the site we want to provide extra value with information, services and education for our customers and consumers, elevating our brand beyond a ‘transactional’ supplier of products to an accessible eye health expert and business partner.”

"The new website represents the heart of what we do – a company dedicated to helping people to see better and to live better,” Mr Dow concluded.
