Global contact lens manufacturer, CooperVision, has announced the appointment of three key leaders from its recently acquired Sauflon business to support its focus on ‘delivering the best possible experience for both practitioners and patients.’

Effective from 1 January 2015, director of professional services for Sauflon, Sue Cockayne, has been appointed CooperVision’s professional services director for Europe; international marketing manager for Sauflon, Myles Hustler, became head of marketing in Europe for the clariti contact lens brands; and Sauflon’s national sales manager for the UK and Ireland, Paul Maxwell, is CooperVision’s national sales manager for the UK and Ireland.

Commenting on the leadership moves, CooperVision Europe’s president, Mark Harty, said: “These appointments are key to our commitment to support our customers and their patients. Sue, Myles and Paul bring an incredible amount of experience to the wider CooperVision group and they are already making significant contributions to the business.”

The news follows last week’s announcement that the joint managing directors for Saulfon Pharmaceuticals, David and Bradley Wells, have left the company. The brothers held the positions in the transition period following the August 2014 acquisition of the company by CooperVision but have now handed over their responsibilities and have departed the business.
