Bausch & Lomb extends Biotrue range

The contact lens manufacturer has launched high adds into its Biotrue One Day lens for presbyopia

Bausch & Lomb (B+L) has expanded the portfolio of its Biotrue One Day lens for presbyopia in order to cater for “more established presbyopes.”

According to research, 50% of presbyopic patients require good near and intermediate vision for work, while 70% say they have difficultly with this vision within the workplace.

Biotrue One Day for presbyopes was designed with ‘3-Zone Progressive Design Technology’, to deliver near, intermediate and distant vision, but was previously only available in low add powers. The extended range will cater for prescriptions ranging from +1.75D.

Head of eye care marketing at B+L, Amy Rothwell, said: “We're thrilled to be able to expand our Biotrue One Day for presbyopia offering with the addition of the high add range. We can now provide both emerging and established presbyopes with a highly comfortable contact lens that provides stable vision throughout the day, both at work and during leisure time.”
